  • Descrição: Chronis Moros, a typical coffee house owner, is married to the snooty Theodora (or “Dora” as she wishes to be called), who feels sorry for herself for marrying someone inferior. Lefteris, his younger brother, is a football player engaged to bumptious Eleni (or “Helen”), who wants to become a movie star. His older brother Stavros is in love with the haughty Mary - or “Princess” as she is called mockingly by the neighborhood because she comes from a rich but impoverished family and looks down on everyone who lives around her. The building plot containing her house and the coffee house are to be given to a construction company to build a block of flats in exchange for new flats. The Moros family settles into their new flats and open a music hall in the basement. Mary falls for a man she thinks is an aristocrat but who later turns out to be a fraud. On the opening of the music hall, Mary turns up and, feeling remorse for her previous behavior, gives in to the kind-hearted Stavros.
